About the 2010 Show House
Welcome to “Giverny,” the magnificent Decorators’ Show House and Gardens produced by the Atlanta Symphony Associates. This is the 40th year of the Atlanta Symphony Associates Decorators’ Show House and Gardens, an Atlanta Springtime tradition. This year we are showcasing 28 of the finest interior and landscape designers in the Southeast at “Giverny” in a magnificent estate home with over four acres of spectacular gardens. The committee of over 1,000 volunteers and designers led by our extraordinary chairman, Mollie Palmer, has worked long hours for many months to make this a spectacular event. We are very grateful for this group of enthusiastic and generous volunteers who have given so much time and talent. This being our 40th year, it is our pleasure to honor all past chairs of the Decorators’ Show House as our honorary chairs. These extraordinary women created this event and made it a wonderful annual tradition for so many people in the Southeast for all these years. It is one of the longest running show houses in the country. The Decorators’ Show House & Gardens is one of several fund-raising events of the Atlanta Symphony Associates. We proudly support the ASO, currently in its 65th season and known for the excellence of its live performances, renowned choruses and 26 Grammy Award winning recordings. Funds raised by the ASA support the Learning Community of the ASO. This includes the Youth Orchestra and the Talent Development Program, now celebrating its 16th anniversary. The TDP supports talented young African-American and Latino student musicians through private coaching, mentoring and performances. We are extremely proud of the graduates of these programs and the careers they have gone on to as professionals. We invite you to join us as a member of the Atlanta Symphony Associates and get involved in one of our many projects or just enjoy the beautiful music.
